Hackney
E5 E8 E9 EC2 N1 N16
Hackney has been, for a long time, one of London's poorest areas. However, it is currently being revived with pots of government cash. It now contains some of London's trendiest areas including Hoxton and Shoreditch, where warehouses and factories are being converted into stylish apartments and workshops for small creative businesses. Reasonable rentals and handy for all the great East end markets like Spitalfields, Columbia Road flower market and Brick Lane, which houses some of the finest Indian cuisine in London, the famous "bangla town". Very hip, young and art studenty with drinking and dining to match. An extension to the East London tube line is under construction and should greatly improve transport links, otherwise good bus links to Liverpool St.
